Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)
The Resident Evil Netflix drama series is currently in the early stages, according to Deadline, with the two parts that are currently looking for a showrunner. The series "is expected to incorporate all the simple elements of Resident Evil, including action sequences and Easter eggs."
Curiously, Constantin Film is also developing a resumption of films since 2017 - the Jovovich series, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson reached the closure with Resident Evil entitled "The Final Chapter" of 2016, which has Johannes Roberts (The Strangers: Prey at Night) together to write and direct. It is unclear if there is a connection between the restart of feature films and the TV series, although the development of the latter suggests that Constantin is interested in expanding his world and reaching.
Adaptations of live video games, both on the big screen and on the small screen, had a massive relief from the critical point of view. No movie based on a video game has a higher score of Rotten Tomatoes than 53 percent, the highest for Resident Evil was 35 percent for The Final Chapter and there was not even a single television series. That has not stopped trying people. 2019 will see two efforts in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog. And if Resident Evil of Netflix advances, it has cut its work.
On the side of the game, Capcom released the remake of Resident Evil 2 of 1998 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Friday.
