The LG G8 will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor
The latest leak of the LG G8, provided courtesy of XDA-Developers, claims to show the official press that it will make the LG G8 in anticipation of its planned launch at MWC 2019 next month. The freshly filtered LG G8 rendering, which represents the smartphone in a gray color option, looks pretty much like another set of renderings that was leaked earlier this month, showing the future smartphone displaying a shiny back panel in a blue hue deep. It is interesting to note here that the leaks apparently confirm the presence of a notch and a dual camera configuration at the rear with the exact sensor and LED flash alignment.
But unfortunately, the new leak of the LG G8 reveals nothing about its hardware specifications, except that its dimensions should measure 152 x 72 x 8.4 mm. If previous leaks are legion, LG's next flagship product will feature a 6.1-inch screen in 19.5: 9 format. In addition, it would retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and include a USB Type-C port and bottom-triggered speakers.
The LG G8, which would be named Alpha code, will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a dedicated button from Google Assistant, as is clear from the new renders. Speculation is rife: could the LG G8 be equipped with Qualcomm's latest high-end SoC, but LG has already confirmed the launch of a 5G smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 855 next month, some reports suggest that the company could use the Snapdragon 845 SoC for the LG G8. But these are just rumors and speculations, so take them with the hint of salt and wait until LG officially announces the next smartphone.
